When Did Christmas Markets Become A Thing?

We're not complaining. We just want to know.

Christmas markets weren’t a thing for us when we were kids.

Maybe it’s because we grew up across the ocean from the Christmas market’s homeland, i.e. Germany. (Apparently, the first documented Christmas was held in Dresden back in the 15th century. We’re not certain of the exact date since we weren’t alive yet.)

Perhaps our ignorance was location specific…
